FAQs

Frequently asked questions

What should the client know about your pricing (fees)?

I evaluate what my professional fees will be based on a project’s complexity, and square footage for planning and design work. Payments are paid in increment retainer fees throughout the design process, (typically, bi-weekly) not all at once.

Travel fees outside of my 45 min radius are additional for site visits or consultations.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

We would schedule an introductory phone call, set up a time for me to see the property existing conditions, and discuss your project goals, timeline etc. After evaluating, we meet to go over a fee proposal.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I earned my Bachelor of Science for Interior Design. I achieve continuing education credits throughout the years for architectural and interior design.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

As a child, I was also doing creative works with art, drawing and painting. At some point, I would help family with their interior projects. Later, I started to develop interior design drawings and plans on my own prior to any education in the field. Then, I majored in hotels, restaurants, and tourism in high school, learning how hospitality businesses worked. In college, I studied and practiced architecture and interior design and graduated with my BS for Interior Design. Clients started requested my services before I even graduated.

What types of clients have you worked with?

Business owners and managers of: Spas, beauty salons, funeral homes, restaurants, sports facilities, daycares and higher education facilities, recreational facilities, senior living facilities, offices, and more.

Small projects (kitchen, bathroom or etc.) usually take about 2-3 months including planning, demolition, construction, styling completion

Large full renovations (house/residential) could take 8 months up to 14 months including planning, demolition, construction, styling completion

Commercial full renovations could take 8 months up to 2 years depending on the size, and structure.

Complexity and level of renovation determines a project timeline, so it’s best to get in touch and have a conversation to start understanding the length of your project.
